Lone Star PEO, Inc. was established in 2016 as a licensed, Texas based, Professional Employer Organization (PEO). It is an established member of the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO). Lone Star PEO is in the application process for a “certified PEO” which promotes industry professionalism and best practices.

Lone Star PEO’s focus is on customer service and long term client relationships. It prides itself on a “getting back to the roots” business style. Their motto, “We are not big business, we are YOUR business” rings true throughout the company.

Todd Newton

President

Todd Newton, founder and CEO of Lone Star PEO, Inc. has been in the financial services industry since 1988. Todd started out servicing the staff and board of directors at the University of Texas MD Anderson with their retirement plans. From there he became a partner in design, production, and operation of financial services software for several retail brokerage organizations including Merrill Lynch, PaineWebber, and ING.

 Todd was offered a position with ING shortly after their relationship began and specialized in executive benefits, wealth transfer and business succession planning. In 2001 he moved to the PEO industry where he became the Vice President and Chief Operation Officer with Brumley PEO. He enjoyed working there many years until the business was acquired.

Todd is an advocate for the Multiple Sclerosis Society and has enjoyed riding in the Texas MS150 for the last 16 years. He is an Eagle Scout and is active in the local Boy Scouts of America. He also has a passion for mountain biking, classic cars and the SCCA autocross racing circuit. Todd and his wife, Becky Newton (also in the PEO business for over 11 years), have 4 children.

Becky Brumley Newton

Vice President

Becky Brumley Newton is the co-founder and Vice President of Lone Star PEO. Becky has been in the insurance industry since 1994. Starting out in the underwriting field, she quickly worked her way up into a training role for several District Offices with Farmers Insurance. She was recruited by Brumley PEO in 2000 and served as the Director of Benefits managing a myriad of insurance products for over 5000 worksite employees. Her love for working in a family environment and developing client relationships drove her to work there until acquisition.

Becky enjoys serving in the church and community. The SA Food Bank, The Salvation Army, and Haven for Hope are just a few of the places she enjoys volunteering. She is also a Board Member on the San Antonio Christian Schools 4-H Booster Club supporting the local 4-H community. Todd and Becky have 4 children and have been married for over 21 years. Their passion for the PEO industry makes coming to work each day together a privilege and extremely rewarding.
